Stories are shaped by the ways we tell them. In Shaping the Story: Designs for the Theatre by Carey Wong, go behind the scenes to see how theatre sets bring stories to life. During a career spanning over 50 years, Carey Wong has designed sets and costumes for more than 300 productions, including operas, plays, musicals, and ballets.

This exhibition features scale models of his designs in addition to costumes, set pieces, and stories of Washington’s rich entertainment history. From sketches of an idea to fully realized sets, explore how a designer’s decisions craft the world of a story.

LeMay – America’s Car Museum proudly presents The Birth of the American Supercar, a groundbreaking exhibition guest curated by renowned automotive innovator Steve Saleen. This one-of-a-kind display invites guests on an exhilarating journey through the evolution of American supercars. From early speed pioneers to cutting-edge modern marvels, visitors will experience a stunning lineup of vehicles that have redefined engineering, speed, and style, built by a wide range of American automotive manufacturers like Ford, Chevy, Dodge, Saleen himself, and even some more obscure ones like Vector, Cunningham, and Hennessey. From roaring V8s to sleek carbon-fiber bodies, discover how American automakers pushed boundaries, challenged European rivals, and redefined what a supercar could be. PlantCon will be bringing the “garden” to "Home & Garden" with a special area dedicated to its variety of plant sellers in the middle of the hall. Pianist and composer Francesco Crosara brings his trio to The Cellar Cat on Sunday, February1st for an evening of straight- ahead jazz and spontaneous interplay.

Crosara will be joined by two Northwest standouts: bassist Clipper Anderson, and drummer Mark Ivester. The trio will perform a blend of original compositions and rearranged jazz standards, all delivered with Crosara’s unforgettable style in the intimate, listening- friendly setting of TheCellar Cat. Not to be missed!
Francesco Crosara is a Seattle based Italian jazz pianist, composer and educator performing in a variety of formations. Crosara’s original music melds an impressive mix of jazz improvisation, a romantic vein from his classical Conservatory training in Rome, bouncy lyrical expression along with strong Latin influences. His main jazz piano influences are Chick Corea, Bill Evans, Keith Jarrett, and Herbie Hancock.

Crosara stands among the European-bred jazz greats, performing over the years with the likes of Lionel Hampton, Freddie Hubbard, Roy Hargrove, Richie Cole, Bobby Shew, Ira Sullivan, Don Menza, Von Freeman, John Heard, Gabe Baltazar, Mayuto Correa, Bruce Forman, Barbara Morrison, Earl Palmer, Lilian Terry, and more. His recordings have featured a multicultural and international array of musicians. He has performed at festivals and venues across the USA, Japan, Canada, Mexico, France, Spain, and Italy.

Modern fingerstyle prodigy Alex Misko dazzles with innovations that took him from viral sensation to Carnegie Hall, alongside Taimane, whose boundary-breaking ukulele transforms everything from Bach to Led Zeppelin. Four extraordinary artists, one unforgettable performance!

Li - written by Wei He Directed by Christie Zhao. A comedy set in Inner Mongolia about a thief who gives away more than she gets, Li may have to reconsider her career choice. But along the way, she discovers a quirky cast of characters that make life just a little less lonely. This world premiere play with heart, humor and original music provides a glimpse into the lives of a thief, her family, an old lady she tries to steal from, plus a friend and his chicken.
