After an eight-year absence, critically acclaimed, 4x GRAMMY® winners Alabama Shakes return, announcing summer tour dates and promising fans that new songs are also on the way.
Kicking off July 16 in Chicago at The Salt Shed-Fairgrounds, the North American headline run will include shows at such historic venues as Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle (August 16). The band will also play several festivals, including Minnesota Yacht Club and Louisville’s Bourbon and Beyond.
Over the course of the tour, Alabama Shakes will be joined by a variety of special guests, including Bahamas, Shannon & The Clams, El Michels Affair, The Budos Band, Sam Evian, Lee Fields, Greyhounds, Y La Bamba, Caleb Elliott, and Alanna Royale. Shannon & The Clams will join as special guests at the Seattle show.

Supported by KNKX. John Pizzarelli’s newest show with his new trio focuses on music from the Broadway stage and the Silver Screen. The evening will feature fresh versions of great standards such as “Where or When”,” Just in Time” and “As Time Goes By”, paired with some newer Broadway songs that include “I Love Betsy” from Honeymoon in Vegas by Jason Robert Brown, “Coffee in a Cardboard Cup” by Kander and Ebb. Additionally, the event will feature a selection of more recent movie songs like “With a Wink and a Smile” from Sleepless in Seattle, “When Somebody Loved Me“ from Toy Story 2, and a rousing suite of songs from Rogers & Hammerstein’s Oklahoma. This program fully encompasses almost every decade from the 20’s to today, providing a musical discovery for audience members at every concert, all performed by an impeccable trio that has thrilled the world over with their singular brand of swinging jazz!

Victory Verticals highlights the little-known story of the Steinway & Sons portable upright pianos that were specially built during World War II to endure any manner of shipping to the front lines and bring morale-boosting music to American troops on land and sea.
The exhibit features three of these Steinway G.I. pianos, known as “Victory Verticals,” fully restored and tuned. Read more about the history of Victory Verticals below.
Special programs and displays will highlight how the magic of music helped win the War, including regularly scheduled mini-concerts during the month-long run of the exhibit.
