As union density maintains its long downward trajectory, conditions for workers across industries and sectors continue to decline— Our jobs urgently need better conditions but standing up against the boss can feel difficult or daunting. Beyond that, we want a better world for the working class, but change at that scale seems impossible. The need for a new framework and philosophy for building real power grounded in worker solidarity is more pressing than ever.
Join the Seattle IWW for an introduction to the philosophy, tactics, and vision of the IWW— we’ll discuss how to shift the balance of power at your workplace, what it means to organize a worker-led union based on solidarity, and how to win.

Celebrate the inaugural Dahlia Farm Music Festival, a full day of live music, community, and summer at the beautiful Suyematsu Farms on Bainbridge Island. Presented by Rolling Bay Music Club, a new nonprofit dedicated to creating a more sustainable, artist-first future for live music, the festival features performances by Mary Lambert, Amelia Day, Brittany Davis, Rae Isla, Lo Pony, and Thistle Band.Presented in partnership with Seattle Pride, proceeds from the festival support LGBTQIA+ youth programming.Guests are encouraged to bring blankets or low-back chairs and enjoy an unforgettable day surrounded by thousands of blooming dahlias, local food and beverages, and live performances from some of the Pacific Northwest's most celebrated musicians.
Experience the inaugural Dahlia Farm Music Festival on Saturday, August 15, at the picturesque Suyematsu Farms on Bainbridge Island. This new all-ages festival, presented by Rolling Bay Music Club, brings together some of the Pacific Northwest's most celebrated musicians—including Mary Lambert, Brittany Davis, Amelia Day, Rae Isla, Lo Pony, Thistle Band, and emerging young performers Briar Banks and Jette Alice—for a full day of live music surrounded by thousands of blooming dahlias. Festivalgoers can enjoy local food vendors, artisan makers, family-friendly activities, and U-Pick dahlias while celebrating community in one of Bainbridge Island's most iconic farm settings. Rolling Bay Music Club is committed to creating an artist-first, inclusive experience where everyone feels welcome, and a portion of proceeds will support Seattle Pride LGBTQIA2S+ youth programs. Music begins at 1 p.m., with festival activities running throughout the day.

The Seattle Tattoo Expo returns to Seattle Center August 14–16, bringing a unique showcase of tattoo culture and history, fan-favorite contests, burlesque shows, karaoke, and more. Hosted by Seattle's own Hidden Hand Tattoo and Supergenius Tattoo, the expo brings more than 250 tattoo artists from around the world to Seattle for one weekend only, including legendary artists Vyvyn Lazonga, Shawn Barber, Tony Hundahl, and Big Gus. Tattoo appointments can be made in advance or on-site, depending on the artist. Since launching in 2001, the expo has grown into the largest tattoo event in the Pacific Northwest.

ABOUT THE WNBR Celebrating bicycle power and the beauty of people World Naked Bike Ride (WNBR) is an international clothing-optional people powered event that highlights the vulnerability of cyclists everywhere decries society’s dependence on pollution-based transport and promotes positive body image. It’s also just a lot of fun! The event is bare-as-you-dare; anything from body paint to underwear to fanciful costumes are encouraged. Due to legal restrictions full frontal nudity is at your own risk but many participants do go all out. Large-scale body painting is typically available pre-ride and personal expression is encouraged. past events drew over 2000 riders and covered over ten miles of high visibility city areas. Blessed by decent summer weather in a great cycling city the event has grown into a fantastic rolling celebration complete with a massive afterparty. Participants often describe it as a transcendent group experience personally transforming and beyond superlative.

Ride as a MASS keeping together by staying behind the leader and with the group. Stay to the center to avoid bystanders. Consider hopping off your bike to stay in control.
Work with Bike Marshalls (in yellow vests!) for everyone’s safety. Communicate what you need to those around you and support those who call out for help!

Finding common ground in bold representation of the natural world, Kathy Anderson, Colleen Cotey, Sara Gettys, and Julia Janeway each bring a practiced sensitivity to their chosen mediums. Through processes that remove material or add it, these four artists present new works rooted in an intimate knowledge of place and material.
