Two politicians who already hold elected office are vying for the open seat on the King County Council. District 2 covers central and North Seattle and unincorporated areas, like Skyway. State Sen. Rebecca Saldaña, who represents the 37th Legislative District, and Port of Seattle Commissioner Toshiko Grace Hasegawa both grew up in the district.
