    The crisis in Afghanistan has reopened painful wounds for many of the 2 million Vietnamese Americans living in the United States. It has also spurred many — including a Seattle doctor who was 9 years old when her family arrived in the U.S. from Vietnam in the 1980s — to assist newly arriving Afghans.
