Glitches in Good to Go electronic tolling system

While it's a good idea to be prepared, sometimes it's good not to move too fast. 

Apparently there are glitches in the state's new "Good to Go" tolling system.  The State Department of Transportation says it will revamp the sign-up process after complaints by frustrated motorists trying to buy transponders online.  As Mike Lindblom reports in The Seattle Times:

Customers who placed orders via goodtogo520.org have been grumbling about cumbersome security passwords and slow download times. Also, callers to the phone hotline were put on hold or routed to unrelated voice-mail trees.

The slip-ups began right after a kickoff event with state transportation secretary Paula Hammond on Tuesday in Seattle.  Tolls start in April on the 520 bridge – they'll be $3.50 at peak times and cannot be paid in cash … only with a transponder, which you can buy online or at mobile kiosks in shopping centers.  Or, if you drive on through, a higher fee will go to the registered owner of the vehicle.
