This week's edition of Jazz Northwest opens with a pair of selections from the 70s by The Great Excelsior Jazz Band with Ken Wiley on trombone. From Edmonton, we'll hear PJ Perry, and sample some of the artists coming up in the next week of the Earshot Jazz Festival. Performances from Dawn Clement, Francesco Crosara, Alex Dugdale (with a new album), Scenes, Dee Daniels, and Marina Albero.

Jim has been a fixture on Seattle radio since 1961. He was the host of Jazz After Hours on Public Radio International from 1984-2014. Currently Jim has been producing Jazz Northwest for KNKX since 1988. This weekly program focuses on the regional jazz scene and frequently includes performances Jim records on location for Jazz Northwest.
