THING is an all-ages music & arts festival (children 12 and under are free) taking place August 25-27, 2023 at historic Fort Worden in Port Townsend, WA. THING has opportunities for the entire family to play, celebrate, and enjoy time together. In addition to an eclectic mix of music, comedy, speakers, and visual arts programming, THING features events that uplift community organizations and arts nonprofits that operate throughout the greater Puget Sound region, with a special emphasis on STG’s Education and Community Engagement programming. Programming includes a variety of dance and movement workshops that are accessible to participants of all abilities. The return of the DANCE This Showcase, STG’s signature dance program, brings together youth and adult performances from diverse communities for collaboration and to share their culture through the art of dance.
