Seafair Events July 22-23

Seafair presents these events the weekend of July 22-23, 2023:

West Seattle Grand Parade - July 22 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The West Seattle Grand Parade, occurring since 1935, is hosted by the West Seattle Rotary Service Foundation and is one of the oldest and most beloved community events in the Seattle area. The West Seattle Grand Parade celebrates the diverse community and participants of the greater Seattle area. It is a proud member of the Seafair community of events which includes the pirates, clowns, marching bands, drill teams, floats, pageantry, and excitement that leads up to the Seafair Torchlight Parade the following weekend.

Nia Fest - July 22 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Nia means Purpose and our Purpose is unity! Nia Festival is a free community event, celebrating and honoring the legacy of the black community in unincorporated Skyway, WA.

Seattle Chinatown Seafair Parade - July 23 from 7 to 9 p.m.
The Seattle Chinatown Seafair Parade is famous for its rich ethnic flavors, the 100-foot dragon, and the Chinese Community Girls Drill Team in traditional Chinese opera costume. Added in recent years are many other Asian performance groups participating along with the traditional floats and drill teams, providing two hours of fun and entertainment for the thousands of spectators who line up along the streets hours before the start.
