The concert will be compromised of Pax Wallace's compositions only. His pieces are highly multidirectional meaning that while they're generally all in the Jazz tradition the sound of the concert will vary greatly from composition to composition. What they all share in common is a great love of innovative harmonic sophistication supporting melody (which can sound many ways) and with at least one possibly two pieces being polytonal. He has written lyrics for at least 3 of these modern jazz songs. While it's never a goal in it self - all of these pieces are very challenging for the musicians.
