A student wounded during last week's shooting at Marysville-Pilchuck High School has died, raising the death toll to four, including the gunman.

Shaylee Chuckulnaskit, 14, died of her injuries Friday at Providence Regional Medical Center, hospital officials said.

In the wake of her death, Chuckulnaskit's family issued a statement that said, in part, "Shay means everything to us. In Shay’s short life she has been a radiant light bringing us incredible joy and happiness. She has been a loving daughter, a caring sister, a devoted friend and a wonderful part of our community. We can’t imagine life without her."

Freshman Jaylen Fryberg opened fire inside the school's cafeteria on Oct. 24, injuring five students before turning the gun on himself. Zoe Galasso, 14, died hours after the shooting. Gia Soriano, 14, died Sunday.

Two other students remain hospitalized.
