Meet Jessica Watkins, the Black woman astronaut who wants to make history in space

Jessica Watkins is currently serving as a mission specialist on NASA’s SpaceX Crew-4 mission to the International Space Station, which launched on April 27, 2022.

On Wednesday, SpaceX launches the next NASA astronauts to the International Space Station — including Jessica Watkins, who will become the first Black woman on a long-duration mission.
