During the Jazz Port Townsend workshop and festival, KNKX gathered requests from participants for a back-to-school edition of the KNKX School of Jazz guest DJ show. The requests reflect the diversity of the camp's participants, ranging from early teens to late 70s and at skill levels from beginner to professional musician.

An all-star ensemble from Mt. Si High School, with mentor Michael Glynn on bass, performed a KNKX School of Jazz session at Boxley's in North Bend.
