Kenneth Aramaki is a jazz and classically trained pianist with more than 20 years of performance experience. Introduced to music at age four, he developed a lifelong passion for jazz after joining his middle school jazz program; he hasn’t stopped playing jazz since. Throughout his career, he has performed with numerous bands across the Seattle area and taught piano lessons. His latest passion has been composing and performing music for theatrical productions, blending storytelling and sound. Kenneth’s family history has deep roots in the Bellevue and Seattle communities dating back to the late 1800s. He also brings over 15 years of experience as a financial crimes investigator in the banking industry and enjoys life with his wife and two cats. He is proud to serve on the Board of Directors for KNKX, where his love of music and commitment to community come together.

“Music is a means of rapid transportation” (John Cage). New KNKX advisory council member Erin Warnke plans to bring as many people on that voyage as possible. As an elementary music educator, Kealy puts in transit the musical being that lives in each student with fun and creativity. Herself a musician, composer, and dancer, Erin expresses her unique voice in the world of music; with the support of KNKX, she is eager to listen to the wider community and express the nuanced interests of all listeners. Regarding musical transport, Erin says, “I intend to Take the A Train.”

The sounds of public radio, jazz and blues have been the constant background soundtrack of Rae Ann’s house since she first moved to the Pacific Northwest in the early 1980’s—back when KNKX was KPLU. Though much has changed in the years since, her passion for the station and its importance in the community has only strengthened, and she’s honored to be taking more of an active role as part of the advisory council.

Jerome Socolovsky is the Audio Storytelling Specialist for NPR Training. He has been a reporter and editor for more than two decades, mostly overseas. Socolovsky filed stories for NPR on bullfighting, bullet trains, the Madrid bombings and much more from Spain between 2002 and 2010. He has also been a foreign and international justice correspondent for The Associated Press, religion reporter for the Voice of America and editor-in-chief of Religion News Service. He won the Religion News Association's TV reporting award in 2013 and 2014 and an honorable mention from the Association of International Broadcasters in 2011. Socolovsky speaks five languages in addition to his native Spanish and English. He holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, and graduate degrees from Hebrew University and the Harvard Kennedy School. He's also a sculler and a home DIY nut.
