The stage is set for Major League Soccer to resume play this year. A tournament begins next month in Orlando. The defending champion Seattle Sounders were given the top seed in a group that features other Western Conference clubs FC Dallas, Vancouver Whitecaps FC and the San Jose Earthquakes.
