Rainbow Center Gayla 2025 Rooted & Radiant
Join us for an unforgettable evening to support Rainbow Center. Gayla 2025 will be filled with community, joy, and purpose—featuring a live and silent auction, entertainment, and a few surprises along the way.
For more than two decades, Rainbow Center has been deeply rooted in the South Puget Sound, serving as a cornerstone of the LGBTQIA2S+ community. Through vital resources, education, advocacy, and celebration, we nurture belonging and build equity for thousands each year.
Gayla will shine as a radiant celebration of the LGBTQ+ community in full color, and will feature dazzling entertainment, exquisite dining, lively dancing, and spirited auctions. Hosted by drag queen, performer, and emcee Macy Marcs, Gayla will feature live speakers, a delectable dessert dash, a wonderful wine pull, and a live auction with a fabulous assortment of items hosted by Sasha Cousineau.
During Gayla, we’ll also be honoring two deserving community members, Amanda Westbrooke, who hosted the award-winning Tacoma’s CityLine, a weekly economic and cultural affairs program, for over sixteen years, and Laura Michalek, an charity auctioneer, former HIV/AIDS teacher, and the youngest person to ever win the Chicago Marathon with a time of 3:15:45. We are so pleased to recognize their accomplishments.
Dinner and dessert will be served, and we will have a variety of options for all. Vegans and vegetarians are welcome. The Marriot Tacoma Downtown is a four-star hotel that offers ADA-accessible rooms and facilities, including accessible parking, elevators, entrances, and paths of travel. Our theme for this event is Radiant and Rooted, and we encourage attendees to dress in a variety of colors and styles.
