Trump admin. moves to end 'roadless rule' protections in national forests

The Trump administration has submitted its plan to end protections on 44 million acres of pristine land in national forests. The U.S. Department of Agriculture said the “roadless rule” has prevented much-needed thinning and wildfire reduction work.

Public comments are open until Sept. 21.
