Mass: 'Pretty Nice' Weather Ahead Except On Sunday

Aaron Brethorst

Sick of the howling winds that swept through Thursday? KPLU weather expert Cliff Mass has good news: “We’re not going to see that the rest of the weekend, and early next week, just the opposite.”

A Milder, Drier Friday, Saturday

Mass said we'll see milder, drier weather starting Friday.

He expects temperatures to reach mid- to upper 50s with some clouds, but some sunbreaks, too.

Saturday will bring more of the same, said Mass, with the added potential for low-hanging clouds.

“So if you want sunshine, go to the mountains or eastern Washington,” he said.

A Cloudy Sunday With Chance Of Rain

Sunday is the exception with potential for rain, said Mass.

“There will be a lot of clouds on Sunday. There will be rain as the front moves through, mid-day,” Mass said. “So, you know, not the greatest day, but temperatures are going to be up in the 50s. And there’s not going to be intense rain, and there won’t be strong winds.”

Next Week's Forecast: Warmer, Drier

Then, come Monday, things will start warming up and drying out.

“And it looks like Tuesday, maybe Wednesday, we could even has some substantial sun and temperatures getting well up into the 50s,” Mass said.

“So we’re going from a stormy pattern to one where the weather is improved, radically so. It’s going to be pretty nice except for Sunday.”
