Anyone 16 or older who lives or works in King County can now pre-register for a vaccination in Seattle.
People wishing to be vaccinated at one of the city’s four vaccination sites can fill out a form and will be notified by email when appointments are available.
The Seattle locations are:
- The Lumen Field Event Center, 330 S. Royal Brougham Way.
- North Seattle College Community Vaccination Hub, 9600 College Way N.
- Rainier Beach Community Vaccination Hub, 8702 Seward Park Ave. S.
- West Seattle Community Vaccination Hub, 2801 S.W. Thistle St.
The city says people should not expect to be notified every week, and that people are encouraged to try many different ways of getting a vaccine.
Gov. Jay Inslee announced recently that all Washingtonians over the age of 16 will be eligible to receive a shot starting April 15. And President Joe Biden recently moved up a deadline for all Americans to qualify for the vaccine. It had been May 1, but Biden said this week that he wants everyone eligible by April 19.
Demand could outpace supply as millions more nationwide go looking for appointments. Health officials have urged patience in the coming weeks.
