The Gonzaga men’s basketball team is now just two wins away from a perfect season. The Bulldogs beat the USC Trojans last night 85-66, sending them to the Final Four in the NCAA tournament for the second time in the last four seasons.
Gonzaga was dominant on both offense and defense, maintaining a healthy lead for most of the matchup. After the game, head coach Mark Few said that while there is still a lot of work to do to win the national championship, it is important to take the time right now to celebrate their accomplishments.
“The fact that we are savoring this and really seizing the moment ... don't misconstrue that for a lack of desire to keep this thing rolling. I think it's just the proper perspective.”
The 30-0 top seeded Bulldogs will take on the 11th seed UCLA Bruins in the Final Four Game this Saturday at 5:30. Gonzaga is hoping to become the first undefeated team since the 1976 Indiana Hoosiers.
