Does Yelp help? Or is it pointless whining?

The few survivors of this year's crop.

I read my first Yelp restaurant review this past weekend and I'm pretty sure it'll be my last. So many of the posts were so whiny that they weren't even as amusing as those really dumb Netflix Member Reviews.

You know the ones ...

THIS MOVIE WAS  BORING. NOTHING HAPPENS.  I CAN NEVER GET BACK THE HOUR AND 37 MINUTES I WASTED...  & etc. Yeah, right – like you could have been back at work perfecting cold fusion during those 97 minutes if only masked terrorists had not  forced you to watch at gunpoint.

But I digress.

In this week's episode I relate my reaction to those bellyaching Yelpers to my Food for Thought co-conspirator Nancy Leson. Her take on all that is well worth hearing. And reading. Here are her thoughts on When Service Goes South, and for all you Yelpers The Ten commandments of Restaurant Reviews

Whine on!
