Seattle Repertory Jazz Orchestra will be heard today (Wednesday) on NPR's All Things Considered as part of an interview with Christian McBride. McBride will be talking about the jazz world getting back into the swing of things post-COVID.

The broadcast will include an excerpt of McBride's new piece, "Familiar Steps," which he premiered June 19 in concert with the Seattle Repertory Jazz Orchestra. The piece was commissioned from McBride by the SRJO.

All Things Considered airs from 3 to 6 p.m. on KNKX-FM 88.5 and on KNKX's website

KNKX's member appreciation concert this summer will feature McBride and Tip City with pianist Emmet Cohen and guitarist Dan Wilson in a livestreamed show from New York City. We will have more details about that soon.
