REDMOND, Wash. — Police in Edmonds, Poulsbo, Stanwood and Redmond are teaming up to track a man who has robbed four banks in Western Washington in three months.
The robber, who authorities are calling the "duct tape bandit," has shown a handgun and demanded money at the banks. Police say a customer and an employee were assaulted in Stanwood.
He's called the duct tape bandit because he wore a piece of black duct tape across his nose and face during all four robberies. The banks and Crime Stoppers are offering a total reward of $8,000 for information that leads to the capture and conviction of someone.
