Fogmageddon Ending; Sunshine, then Return to Normal

Tim Durkan

Fogmageddon will end on Sunday, “pretty much guaranteed,” says KPLU weather expert Cliff Mass.

“What’s going to happen is on Sunday, an upper-level trough, a very powerful one. is going to come from the northwest. That’s going to sweep all low clouds and fogs,” said Mass, professor of atmospheric sciences at the University of Washington.

Then it’s out with the fog, in with the sun, says Mass.

“It’s going to bright sunshine, believe it or not, on Monday and Tuesday, and then return to normal weather situation on Wednesday,” he said. “So we’ll return to rain, normal clouds, and no more fog.”
