For many, the month of October means falling leaves, ghosts and goblins and pumpkins on doorsteps. It also brings the release of a number of pumpkin beers.
A recent find here in Seattle was Big Time Brewing Company's Hopgoblin Pumpkin Ale.
In this beer, Big Time manages to brew a nice amber ale with the spices you would find in a pumpkin pie. The aroma and taste of cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg mix well with the beer's subtle malts and hops. Pumpkin beers, like jack-o-lanterns, will only be around for so long so get out and get one while you can.
