Dear Ernestine: Music, Letters And Stories–A Tribute to Seattle's First Lady of Jazz & Blues, Ernestine Anderson!
Sponsored by KNKX. Join us to celebrate Seattle’s First Lady of Jazz & Blues, Ernestine Anderson, for “Dear Ernestine: Music, Letters and Stories” – A Tribute on November 5th, 2022, at Town Hall Seattle.
Throughout her six-decade career, this Seattle treasure exemplified freedom, creativity, struggle, perseverance, and triumph! She recorded more than thirty albums, received four Grammy nominations, and performed on the world's most prestigious stages, including the United States White House, Carnegie Hall, and the inaugural Monterey Jazz Festival.
This very special evening of music, historic reflection, and entertainment, honors the life and legacy of Seattle’s most iconic jazz and blues artist. Held at Town Hall Seattle on November 5th beginning at 7 p.m., the event features the incredible vocal artistry of Dee Daniels, Eugenie Jones, Gail Pettis, and Elnah Jordon. Musicians include Darrius Willrich on piano, Kirk Kuykendall playing bass, and Jameal Nance on drums.
General admission tickets are $25 with links at celebratingernestineanderson.org.
