Small Expressions is a large-scale art show that encourages support of Pacific Northwest artists through art-giving during the holidays. Northwind Art, which operates the nonprofit Jeanette Best Gallery in Port Townsend, presents the work of more than 40 artists in this exhibition. It's a dynamic and affordable show, as art buyers take home their purchases and gallery staff rotates in fresh artwork. In this juried exhibit, everything must be at or under 16 inches in any direction — so the art is compact, and ranges from vivid paintings to beaded sculpture to one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces. Admission is free to the gallery, which is open 12-5 PM Thursdays through Mondays. Also, a celebration of Small Expressions' opening is set for Saturday, Dec. 6 from 5-8 PM.
