Jazz Underground will return to the sanctuary at the Mercer Island Presbyterian Church as part of their annual concert series in January. The hour-long performance will take place on the evening of Saturday, January 24, 2026 with a 7 p.m. downbeat and will be followed by a reception at the church. Located at 3605 84th Avenue SE on Mercer Island, the church is easily accessed from I-90. The evening’s program will feature music by
Maria Schneider, Daniel Barry, Donald Byrd, Jaco Pastorius and selections from the libraries of the Maynard Ferguson, Duke Ellington and Count Basie orchestras. Jazz Underground vocalist Nickole Dixson will also
be on hand to sing songs originally made famous on the Broadway stage. A suggested donation of $10 to $20 is requested to support the ongoing musical presentations at MIPC.
