Jazz Underground is a Seattle-based contemporary jazz big band. Their repertoire includes a wide variety of music from Count Basie, Buddy Rich and Stan Kenton to Jaco Pastorius, Michael League, Maria Schneider, Greg Adams, Frank Zappa, Tom Molter and Nelda Swiggett. In addition, the group performs music by Pacific Northwest composers and arrangers, including original tunes by members of the band.
