Vocalist Emy Tseng and her band Grupo Sonho present an evening of Brazilian jazz and samba. Emy is known for her sophisticated blend of bossa nova and modern jazz. Emy bridges genres and cultures—infusing each song with elegance, nuance, and warmth. The Washington Post has cited her “fine rhythm, impressive grasp of harmony, and a clear, attractive voice.” and All About Jazz has stated that Emy is “a vocal artist of significant talent and potential.” She is also an active percussionist and performs with Seattle’s vibrant samba drum group, VamoLá. Special guest singer Alexander will also perform traditional samba.
