The Everett Rock & Gem Club, a non-profit, educational and recreational organization for rockhounds, will host its 70th Annual Gem, Jewelry & Mineral Show at Evergreen State Fairgrounds in the Weikel Event Center. Highlights include exhibits of crystals and minerals, beads and pendants, polished decorative stone artwork and handcrafted silver jewelry. Lapidary artists will demonstrate gemstone faceting, intarsia, wire wrapping, silversmithing, stone shaping, carving, and polishing techniques throughout the weekend. A special educational activity area for juniors (under 18) will be open continuously during the weekend show. A free polished rock will be given to all kids attending the show.
