GivingTuesday is just around the corner, and we’re excited to announce twogreat opportunities to increase your impact on this global day generosity!
For a chance to have your gift doubled, consider waking up early to make a donation through Facebookor setup a fundraiser on your Facebook page in support of KNKX. Facebook will match up to $7 million in total donations to eligible nonprofits, made through the Facebook giving platform on GivingTuesday! The offer starts at 5 a.m. (PST) on Dec. 3, and donations will be matched dollar for dollar on a first-come, first-served basis until the matching pool runs out. In addition to supporting trusted, in-depth journalism and vibrant jazz and blues on KNKX, donations on GivingTuesday also will provide hunger relief to food insecure children throughout Washington state. In a fourth annual partnership with Northwest Harvest and their Three Squares program, for every $100 raised between GivingTuesday and midnight on Dec. 12, KNKX will fill a backpack with two days’ worth of food for a child in need. The backpacks are distributed in up to 50 public schools in our region with the aim of ensuring every child has enough food to keep them sustained on weekends.
