Jazz Caliente: Remembering Cuba, again

This week, the Trump administration brought back drastic restrictions on travel to Cuba. Setting aside the political, economic and philosophical debates, here's a baker's dozen of fond memories from my trip to Cuba in 2013 with a delightful group of KNKX listeners.

For now, travel from the U.S. to Cuba is still possible, but more complicated. The most likely effect of the new restrictions will be to reduce tourism, and that directly affects the livelihood of many Cuban artists and musicians.

Recent changes to the visa application process also have made it more difficult for Cuban musicians to come to the U.S. to perform.

You can still get your Cuban jazz connection on Saturday's Jazz Caliente.
