The recent discovery and issue of radio broadcasts by Brazilian guitarist Bola Sete's has stirred enthusiasm from coast to coast. The three-CD set includes music from six live radio shows from the Penthouse in Seattle from 1966 to 1968. Several selections from 1966 will air on today's episode of Jazz Northwest. Also new on this week's show are the last CD by the Jim Knapp Orchestra and the new Fireside Brass CD by the Westerlies.

Also on this week's show is holiday music by Hans Teuber and Dave Peterson, Karin Plato, Don Lanphere, Thomas Marriott and Bill Anschell.

Jim has been a fixture on Seattle radio since 1961. He was the host of Jazz After Hours on Public Radio International from 1984-2014. Currently Jim has been producing Jazz Northwest for KNKX since 1988. This weekly program focuses on the regional jazz scene and frequently includes performances Jim records on location for Jazz Northwest.
