Anacortes Arts Festival - August 5-7

The Anacortes Arts Festival is in its 61st year, hosts more than 250 artisans, averages around 80,000 visitors and produces a highly acclaimed fine art show.

Anacortes is located on breathtaking Fidalgo Island at the front of the San Juan Islands, in Northwest Washington. As a beautiful Puget Sound destination, the Anacortes community graciously hosts events throughout the year and the Festival is the largest of those events. There is a dynamic art community in this small town and the support of the Festival is evident with the more than 250 volunteers, who donate their gift of time to make our guests and booth artisans feel welcome. Last year, our total booth artisan sales were more than $1.2 million over the course of the three days.

Anacortes is known for its warm, small-town hospitality, and we work hard to maintain a supportive environment for artists. This exciting Festival is a free event to the public and includes two stages of free entertainment daily, a beer garden, a wine bar and a youth area which is dedicated space for kids and family activities.

The Festival stretches down Commercial Ave from 10th Street all the way to the Port dock on the Guemes Channel waterfront. Along that route, you’ll get to experience Booth Artisans, Main, Jazz and Waterfront Stages, three Beer and Wine Gardens, Food trucks and vendors, a Kids Discovery Area, Artists Demonstrating their craft, AND Arts at the Port Fine Art Show on the dock. And it’s free…

Starting Friday, August 5 at noon and continuing through Sunday evening, the Manieri Jazz Endowment at the Anacortes Public Library is featuring 11 fantastic jazz performances, including the A'Town Big Band, Joan Penney, Dmitri Matheny, and the Trish Hatley Trio comprised of Trish, Hans, and Phil. Join us for any and all of these free concerts during the Arts Festival.
