The Island Big Band Jazz concert
The Island Big Band is back after surviving the pandemic and the economic chaos. The veterans of this 20-year old academy of jazz include 5 saxes, 5 trombones, 5 trumpets and a full 5 part rythmn section led by a female vocalist. The music includes a sampling of the latest Big Band arrangements and a few of the old standards.
The Band provides mentors to students and financial support to the Salvation Army and the Mustard Seed food bank.
