South Sound Sustainability Expo 2023
For 15 years, the South Sound Sustainability Expo has been the region’s largest community celebration of all things sustainability. This free, family-friendly event features activities, presentations, performances, and art exhibits.
Clothing Swap: Sponsored by The Chaya Movement, Expo attendees can bring their gently used adult clothing to be “swapped”. Donate your items, and browse other items for free reuse. Thanks to support from the University of Washington Tacoma.
Fresh Express Mobile Market: The Tacoma Farmers Market is a year-round, mobile market, offering a full range of fresh and local products to a variety of neighborhoods in and community gathering spaces across Pierce County.
Kids Corner: The Tacoma Nature Center will bring fun, family-friendly environmental activities for our littlest Expo attendees.
Pop-Up Forest: What could our urban and built environment look and feel like with more trees? The City of Tacoma’s Urban Forestry team will be on-hand to guide guests through this interactive experience.
E-Bike and Scooter Test Rides: Our friends from RAD Power Bikes and Razor will be on-hand to provide free test rides for e-bikes and scooters.
Food Truck: Local vegan food vendor Vego will be set up in Tollefson Plaza to provide hungry Expo attendees with delicious food sourced from local ingredients and food producers.
