Seattle Center Festál: Seattle Iranian Festival returns on September 20
The wait is over! With gratitude for the support shown when the event was postponed, the
Seattle Iranian Festival, originally scheduled in June, is happening September 20.
Arezoo: The Power of Wish is the theme for the 18 th annual Seattle Iranian Festival this year! In Persian culture, Arezoo (Wish) is more than a fleeting thought: it’s a reminder that hope is always within reach.
Be part of the community gathering on September 20, 2025 at Seattle Center Armory Food & Event Hall to appreciate the beauty of Arezoo and may all your wishes come true at this free one-day festival.
Watch and learn from Omid Roustaei (also known as the Caspian Chef), who will conduct a cooking demonstration and lead a discussion about his book, Bitter & Sweet: Global Flavors from an Iranian-American Kitchen. Combining traditional and contemporary styles of Iranian dance and musical ensembles, performers will excite the crowd on the Armory stage. Enjoy a pop music performance from talented Iranian comedian and artist Michael Artuni, followed by a classical Persian group, Kamân Ensemble.
All day activities include a lively bazaar filled with arts and crafts vendors, food and sweets booths, and hands-on kids’ activities. While you’re at the festival, enjoy the Peyvand Artists Group’s art display, showcasing the creativity and talent of this organization’s members.
Founded in 2005, the Iranian American Community Alliance (IACA) is a non-profit and community organization focused on creating cultural and educational programs and youth and leadership development. In 2007, the board members of IACA organized an event to bridge the gap between Iranian and American communities, which has now become the annual Seattle Iranian Festival.
Seattle Iranian Festival is part of Seattle Center Festál, a year-round series of 25 free cultural festivals. Learn more about Festál (seattlecenter.com/festal).
