Seattle Center Festál: Asian American Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander Heritage Month Celebration 2026
Join us as we kick off Asian American Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander Heritage Month Celebration on May 2 at the Seattle Center Armory Food & Event Hall. This one-day festival celebrates the beginning of AANHPI Heritage Month and showcases diverse Asian American and Pacific Islander communities in Washington, represented by more than 40 countries with distinct cultural groups, heritages, languages, and customs.
Enjoy diverse performances including martial arts demonstrations and traditional and contemporary dances, drill teams, and dance performances from student-run University of Washington organizations and local performing arts groups. Don’t miss entertaining cultural activities on stage, too, including the annual Alan Sugiyama Hum Bow Eating Contest and onstage trivia game.
Participate in interactive activities created for all ages including a scavenger hunt, gashapon and claw machines, and Pokémon teaching tables. Browse through community cultural display booths that share the histories of why this month is celebrated and show your support by buying from local AANHPI vendors and small businesses. Enjoy a wide selection of unique and delicious food trucks and food vendors located outside the Armory building. This year, KEXP 90.3 FM will broadcast live from the Armory Loft throughout the day.
Asian American Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander Heritage Month Celebration is part of Seattle Center Festál, a year-round series of 25 free cultural festivals.
