Visionary violinist, composer, and improviser Curtis Stewart takes the stage as soloist and creator in a program that traces generations of musical inspiration while reaching boldly toward the new. Roma folk, jazz, classical, blues, and spiritual traditions echo through Stewart’s original compositions as well as beloved works by Coleridge-Taylor Perkinson and Béla Bartók. Deeply personal and richly layered, this program bridges past and present, celebrates artistic lineage, and reveals how music is continually transforming and renewing with the power to shape, uplift, and unite us.
