Port Townsend pianist Jonas Myers cut his chops with the Garfield High School jazz band and later as a bandleader and composer on the Seattle scene. His group The Walking Hat Trio played a KNKX Studio Session in 2019. He is the 2026 Artist-in-Residence at Cellar Cat, a cozy venue just one block from the Kingston ferry terminal. Easy to park in Edmonds, walk on the boat, enjoy a beautiful trip across the Sound, take in some top-shelf jazz while enjoying some excellent wine, and be home well before bedtime. Joining Myers this month is saxophonist Darian Asplund, a musical chameleon best known for his collaboration with Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, and Ryan Donnelly, a veritable acrobat of the upright bass.
