Artist duo to discuss inspiration and creative practice
A duo of Port Townsend artists will discuss their inspirations and answer questions about their diverse artwork. Peter Koronakos, who makes animal assemblages out of found objects, and Randy Sturgis, who creates big paintings in tribute to important people in his life, will each give a short talk and then do a Q & A. Randy will speak at 2:30 p.m. along with a short reading by poet Claudia Hollander-Lucas. Then Peter comes next at 3:15 p.m. The pair be surrounded by their 41 works of art at Northwind's Jeanette Best Gallery. Admission to the gallery, as always, is free.
The public is also invited to see Randy and Peter's art exhibit, running through May 4; gallery hours are 12-5 p.m. Thursdays through Mondays.
