12th Annual Seattle Asian American Film Festival February 22-March 3 in-person and online
We’re continuing our hybrid festival model in 2024! Watch films remotely from the comfort of your own home, or join us at Northwest Film Forum for our in-person screenings where you can attend Q&As after the films, meet filmmakers, and say hello to the SAAFF team!
SAAFF is the only film festival to provide a space for pan-Asian American voices, perspectives, and histories told through multimedia arts in Seattle. Our volunteer-run organization empowers and uplifts Asian American creatives and builds community connections through our annual festival and other year-round events. We aim to be a platform that broadens the understanding of our community’s stories through elevating independent films that reflect the diversity and richness of Asian Americana and Asian diasporas.
In-person February 22-25
Virtual February 26-March 3
Opening night film on February 22 in-person at Northwest Film Forum is the documentary, unseen. Pedro, a blind, undocumented immigrant and an aspiring social worker faces political restrictions to obtain his college degree, secure a job in his field, and support his family. What starts as a journey to provide mental health care for his community ultimately transforms into Pedro’s path towards his own healing.
