Washington legislators earmarked $21 million for crime victim programs

Washington state lawmakers avoided a multi-million dollar cut to crime victim services funding that was proposed this legislative session. In the budget sent to Gov. Bob Ferguson, legislators earmarked about $21 million for programs such as rape crisis centers, domestic violence shelters and legal aid.
