Inslee proposes tax on the wealthy to help with budget shortfall

Washington is spending faster than it’s bringing in money. Officials expect a more than 10 billion dollar gap in the state’s next budget cycle.

To close it, outgoing governor Jay Inslee says he wants to see a one percent wealth tax on the state’s richest residents.
