We're adding some new programming at KNKX. As of Oct. 16, Fresh Air now starts at 6 p.m., with a different program each weeknight at 7, before jazz begins at 8. One of those new programs is On Being which explores some of the larger questions at the center of human life, including faith and spirituality.
Since host Krista Tippett started the program about 15 years ago, she's talked to thousands of thinkers, writers, clergy, artists, leaders and scholars from all walks of life, and all parts of the globe. In 2014, President Obama awarded her the National Humanities Medal.
She spoke with KNKX All Things Considered host Ed Ronco about how she does the show, and why the questions explored during On Being are so important to ask. Here's the conversation as aired:

You can hear On Being each Wednesday at 7 p.m., on KNKX.
