Thomas Marriott's New Quintet At Seattle Art Museum

Thomas Marriott's new working band played the February concert in the Art Of Jazz series presented by Earshot Jazz at The Seattle Art Museum.  Playing for a standing room only audience, the quintet played compositions by members of the group including Marriott, saxophonist Rick Mandyck and pianist Tim Kennedy.  Geoff Harper completes the group on bass and Xavier LeCouturier on drums.

Thomas Marriott enjoys a bi-coastal career and touring when he's not at home in Seattle.  In addition to leading his own groups, he's a regular soloist with the Seattle Repertory Jazz Orchestra.  He has recorded ten albums as a leader and much more as a sideman and/or producer.  Rick Mandyck is a multi-instrumentalist who first gained attention on the regional scene as a saxophonist but later added guitar and piano before returning to saxophone again.  Pianist Tim Kennedy has been appearing around Seattle in a variety of bands and styles of music including song writing, pop, rock and hip-hop in addition to jazz.
