Spanish pianist and composer Marina Albero's new release, "A Life Soundtrack," is an impressive three-disc collection of her life (so far) in music.
Marina settled in Seattle in 2014, bringing with her an extensive and varied musical background. She's a master of piano, psalterium (a Mediterranean hammered dulcimer) and vibraphone, and her compositions reflect an astounding array of stylistic and personal influences.
The three volumes of "A Life Soundtrack" include music recorded with her family in Barcelona in 2008, solo and duet improvisations, and a mix of original compositions and jazz standards.
The CD release celebration for "A Life Soundtrack" is Tuesday night, Dec. 17, at The Royal Room in Seattle.
Listen for Marina's composition, 19 y 42, from a recent live studio session this week on Saturday's Jazz Caliente!
