Support Groups for Survivors of Heart Disease and Their Families
Every 39 seconds someone in America has a heart attack, and over 30 million Americans “live” with heart disease every day. The quality of their lives depends not only on advances in medical treatment, but also on the support they and their families receive along the way. Mended Hearts of Puget Sound (info@mhops.org) and Seattle Sudden Cardiac Death Survivor Group (cardiacarrestgroup@gmail.com) offer a peer to peer opportunity for patients and their loved ones to share their experience of living with heart disease with others who “know” and “feel” the issues firsthand. Each group meets monthly via ZOOM to share experiences and support each other. All are welcome. // Mended Hearts meets the 4th Wednesday of every month from 6:30-7:30 p.m. and the SCA group meets the second Thursday of each month from 12:30-2 p.m.//////////// Mended Hearts: https://s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/images.provhealth.org/Swedish-Images/CardiacSurgerySupportGroup.pdf /// SCA group: https://www.facebook.com/cardiacarrestsupportgroup/
