Seattle Yiddish Fest

Seattle Yiddish Fest is back March 6-10 - now with MORE Yiddish culture!

We’re thrilled to bring the whole spectrum of Seattle’s Jewish community together in these difficult times to celebrate Yiddish (aka Ashkenazi) culture. This year we offer 4 simultaneous workshops all weekend plus a full program of lectures, concerts, jams, Seattle’s first Yiddish Visual Art show, a Shabes Tish and more. You don’t have to sing play or dance to participate, but it could lead to dancing…

S.Y.F. is a grassroots festival that strives to be accessible and welcoming to all. We offer sliding scale registration fees and have our covid precautions on our website.

Visting artists and faculty include:
- Michael Wex (Born to Kvetch)
- Ethel Raim (founder of the Pennywhistlers in 60’s)
- Susan Hoffman-Watts (Phili klezmer legend)
- Benny Ferdman (LA based artist)
- Ilya Shneyveys (Riga/NY)
- Sarah Larsson
- Faith Jones
- Sarah Zarrow

Local artists and faculty:
